Coil coating is the roller application of a paint onto a moving metal substrate.
In a continuous process, the metal is cleaned then the paint is applied, cured, cooled then recoiled resulting in a metal strip coated with a formable, uniform, functional or decorative coating ready for further downstream manufacturing.
